Restructuring for Investment

Within Vision 2050 Forestry GH, numerous avenues for revenue generation through investment are readily available. We are actively seeking partners and investors to collaborate with us in these ventures. Our projects center on addressing the pressing issue of global climate change through the mitigation of deforestation and forest degradation. Simultaneously, these projects contribute to job creation, fostering poverty alleviation within the communities we engage with.

Forests Growth & Conservation

Plantation Development & Ecosystem Conservation Projects are being undertaken in an ecological zone where the decline of forest cover has become an unprecedented phenomenon. The growth of more forests and plantations will:

1. Reverse the decline in forest cover

2. Augment and enhance indigenous forest trees genetic resources through proactive conservation measures.

3. Protect watershed and increase volume of water available to the people and their livestock.

4. Reduce amount of greenhouse gas in the atmosphere and by extension fight against global warming.

5. Increase the manure in the soil, improve soil moisture and enhance farm yield.

6. Legal wood/forest products (for current use) and wood-based fuels as opposed to illegal charcoal production which further endangers the natural forest.

7. The project will serve as facility for training natural resource managers and, research and development through its linkage and collaboration with universities and public and private- sector entities.

Livelihood Empowerment

This is to help the communities cope with the impact of extreme aridity with aim to:

1. Avoid further endangering of the forests as poorer community members turn to the natural forests to make a living

2. Cushion communities against extreme climate events by providing farming inputs which they otherwise would have to procure by themselves

3. Practice sustainable Agro-forestry with a stewardship ethics that integrates reforestation and forest management with the conservation of soil, air, and water quality, biological diversity, wildlife and aquatic habitat, recreation, and aesthetics.

4. Provide for regeneration after harvest.

5. Manage forests and lands of special significance to account for their unique qualities and capture carbon sequestered in the trees to sell.

6. Manage operations to comply with all VERRA requirements.
